Search for a serial#

Have the serial number or warehouse you want to inspect ready.

Check status and location#

  1. 1
Open Reports and select Serial Status.
  2. 2
Choose a warehouse in Select warehouse, then click Search. Search for a serial number to narrow the list.
  3. 3
Compare the serial number, warehouse, and status. Use the inventory serial record to trace its movement history.
  4. 4
Open the serial's inventory record and follow its receipt, movement, and shipment history.
  5. 5
Compare the reported warehouse and status with the physical unit and any linked order.

A serial may be pending, in stock, transferred, or shipped. The status should fit the recorded history.

Trace its journey#

A serial number registered before receipt is not on-hand stock. Follow its receipt and movement history before treating the unit as available.

WARNING: Verify the physical serial label before fulfilling, transferring or returning it.

Before releasing#

Follow the serial's receipt and shipment history before releasing it for a new order.

Hold the unit aside if the number or location does not match, then investigate before receiving or shipping it.
