Check the dashboard period#
Open the Dashboard in the correct company. Your role and plan determine which cards you can see. If you are comparing figures with a colleague, first confirm you are viewing the same organization and reporting period.
Read the cards#
- 1Open the Dashboard and confirm the organization shown in the company switcher.
- 2Read the date range and currency on the card you are using. A weekly sales card and a month-end ledger figure describe different windows.
- 3Identify the question behind the card: an overdue customer balance, a fulfillment backlog, low stock, or a change in cash. Note the value and scope before following its link.
- 4Open an available link to the source report or record. Apply the same date, currency, and warehouse filters where those controls are available.
- 5Open an unusual invoice, order, payment, or movement from the source view and check its status. Draft and posted records should not be treated as the same milestone.
- 6Return to the card after the source review and record the action the team will take, such as contacting a customer or checking a shelf.
Follow the source#
Dashboard summaries combine financial, sales, purchasing and inventory measures; they do not replace the underlying posted documents or physical count.
WARNING: Verify the source report and cutoff before using a KPI for a close or purchasing decision.
Before deciding#
If a card differs from another report, compare the organization, cutoff, currency, and status of included records. If you cannot follow it to a source, use the related report directly and keep both figures with your review.
