Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using KariVast, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using KariVast on behalf of a business or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.
Using KariVast
KariVast provides accounting and inventory tools to help businesses manage stock, purchasing, sales, invoices, bills, payments, bookkeeping, and financial reports.
You are responsible for determining whether KariVast is appropriate for your operations and for reviewing information in the service before using it to make business or operational decisions.
Accounts
You are responsible for providing accurate account information and keeping your login credentials secure. Do not share your credentials or allow unauthorized people to access your account.
If your account includes multiple users, you are responsible for managing their access and ensuring that each user has appropriate permissions.
Your data
You retain responsibility for the accounting and inventory information you enter into KariVast. This includes financial records, products, stock, suppliers, customers, orders, and other business data.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to provide this information to KariVast and to use it through the service.
Exports and record keeping
You can download supported reports as CSV files using the Export CSV option in Reports, subject to your access permissions. Exports contain the selected report data and reflect the filters you apply. They are not a complete backup of your account and cannot be used to restore the entire account.
Keep copies of the reports and original business documents you need for your records, including invoices, receipts, and bank statements. You remain responsible for meeting the record-keeping requirements that apply to your business.
Subscriptions and billing
KariVast is offered through subscription plans. All plans include the accounting and inventory features; limits on users, warehouses, and SKUs vary by plan. Review the plan limits, price, billing interval, and applicable taxes before purchase.
If you start a free trial, the applicable trial period and billing terms will be shown at checkout. Unless the checkout states otherwise, billing begins when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for subscription purchases and handles payments, applicable sales taxes, and billing receipts. Purchases are also subject to Lemon Squeezy's Buyer Terms. These KariVast terms govern your use of the software.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected billing interval until canceled. You authorize recurring charges under the terms accepted at checkout. Keep your billing details current; unsuccessful payments may affect access to the service. Changing plans may result in prorated charges or credits through Lemon Squeezy.
Cancellation and refunds
A user with billing management permission can cancel from KariVast's Billing page or use the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Cancel before the next renewal to stop future charges. Access to create and change business records continues until the subscription's displayed end date, unless it is suspended or terminated under these terms. Cancellation does not automatically refund a payment already made.
Refunds are handled according to our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Access after expiry or unsuccessful payment
When your trial or paid subscription expires, KariVast restricts creating and changing business records. For accounts with an existing subscription record, viewing existing records and supported exports remains available, subject to user permissions and any account suspension or termination under these terms.
An unsuccessful renewal payment may place your subscription in a grace period. If payment remains unresolved when that period ends, creating and changing business records is restricted. Check the Billing page for your subscription status and payment options.
Canceling renewal does not itself delete your business records. Retention is governed by our Privacy Policy. Keep copies of the reports you need; continued read access is not a promise of indefinite storage.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use KariVast in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the service.
- Upload malicious code, harmful software, or other destructive content.
- Use the service to abuse, harass, deceive, or harm others.
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits, access controls, or security measures.
- Use the service in a way that could materially harm KariVast or its users.
Intellectual property
KariVast and its software, design, branding, content, and related materials are owned by or licensed to KariVast and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These terms do not transfer ownership of KariVast's software, trademarks, branding, or other intellectual property to you.
Your license to use the service
Subject to these terms and your subscription, KariVast grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the service for your internal business purposes.
Service availability
We aim to keep KariVast available and reliable, but the service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, technical issues, third-party services, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue features of KariVast as the service develops.
Third-party services
KariVast may rely on third-party services for functionality such as payment processing, authentication, communications, analytics, security, hosting, or other infrastructure.
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of those services may be subject to those additional terms.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect KariVast and the information processed through the service. However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
Disclaimers
KariVast is provided as a business software service. You are responsible for reviewing accounting entries, financial reports, stock records, and other data before relying on them. KariVast does not provide professional accounting, tax, or legal advice. You remain responsible for your records and required filings.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, KariVast is provided without guarantees that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every particular business purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, KariVast will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
Any limitations of liability in these terms apply only to the extent permitted by the laws applicable to your use of KariVast.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to an account when reasonably necessary to protect KariVast, its users, or the security of the service, or when an account violates these terms or applicable law.
You may stop using KariVast and cancel your subscription at any time, subject to the applicable subscription and refund terms.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how KariVast collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information.
Changes to KariVast
As KariVast develops, we may add, modify, or remove features, plans, integrations, or other parts of the service. We may also introduce new services or discontinue existing functionality.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the date shown at the bottom of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through KariVast or other reasonable means.
Your continued use of KariVast after updated terms become effective means that you accept the revised terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
