Set the expiry window#

Have the lot labels and the period you want to inspect ready.

Find at-risk lots#

  1. 1
Open Reports and select Expiring Lots/Batch.
  2. 2
Use Filter by date, then click Search. Type a lot or product in the search box if you need to narrow the list.
  3. 3
Compare lot dates and remaining units with physical labels.
  4. 4
Open the lot record and confirm its remaining quantity, status, and location.
  5. 5
Ask the warehouse to compare the label dates and physical units with the report before moving or disposing of anything.

A lot can be active, quarantined, or recalled. A status change may stop picking, while a separate write-off is needed when units are disposed of.

Check labels#

The report can flag a lot as expiring soon or expired based on its date. Check its actual lot status—Active, Quarantined, or Recalled—before picking or disposing of it.

WARNING: A date warning does not automatically write off or quarantine stock. Inspect and process affected goods.

Before disposal#

Visit the affected bin and check the lot labels and remaining quantity before moving or writing off goods.

Do not write off stock from a date alone; confirm custody and the quantity being removed.
