What is KariVast?#

KariVast is business management software that brings inventory, purchasing, sales, and accounting together in one place. It helps you keep track of the products you carry, the goods you buy and sell, and the money your customers owe you or you owe your suppliers.

This kind of connected system is often called enterprise resource planning, or ERP. In everyday terms, it gives your team a shared place to manage business records and follow work from an order through receiving or shipping, invoicing, and payment.

Who is it for?#

KariVast supports the people who manage day-to-day operations and finances. Purchasing teams can track supplier orders and receipts. Sales teams can manage customer orders and invoices. Warehouse staff can track stock and its locations. Finance teams can review bills, payments, and accounting records, while business owners and managers can use reports to understand business activity.

What can you manage?#

The features and actions available to you depend on your organization's subscription, settings, and your assigned permissions.

How the work connects#

For a business that buys and sells goods, purchasing and warehouse work cover ordering products and recording their arrival. Sales and warehouse work cover customer orders and the goods shipped to customers. Finance follows the related bills, invoices, payments, and accounting entries.

These are related steps, but each represents a different business event. An order records what you intend to buy or sell; receiving or shipping records the movement of goods; bills, invoices, and payments track the financial side. The linked guides explain when each step affects stock and accounting balances.

To get started, work through a small connected cycle: set up the company, receive goods, ship an order, and inspect the resulting financial records.

Start with the right company#

Verify your account and choose the organization you will set up.

Set up the essentials in order#

  1. 1
Verify your account and select the correct organization.
  2. 2
  3. 3
Create the first warehouse, team, and products.
  4. 4
Follow the first purchase and first sale guides with a small test transaction.
  5. 5
Open the first purchase and first sale records and follow their linked documents.
  6. 6
Compare the resulting stock and ledger balances with the physical and finance evidence.

A connected trial exposes missing settings before the team enters volume.

Test one purchase and one sale#

A supplier or customer record alone does not create a payable or receivable. Verify each receipt, posting, and allocation separately.

WARNING: Choose base currency and account mappings deliberately. These decisions affect later inventory valuation and GL posting.

If setup stops early#

Return to the missing supplier, product, warehouse, account, or user setup step before starting transactions.
