Inspect the lot before changing status#
The lot detail's status-changing actions require the “Make manual inventory adjustments” permission. Confirm the lot's product, quantity, warehouse and expiration date.
Quarantine, recall, or release a lot#
- 1Open the lot detail and verify its product, expiry date, and current status.
- 2Choose the supported status action that matches the physical decision: Active, Quarantined, or Recalled.
- 3Reopen the lot and check its status before anyone picks from it.
- 4Check the lot's remaining quantity and location after the status action; changing status should not be mistaken for disposal.
- 5Tell pickers about the quarantine or recall so physically segregated goods match the screen.
A released lot can be picked again only when it meets your quality decision and the system's eligibility rules.
Check what stock remains#
Status influences eligibility for stock operations but does not automatically remove on-hand units or post a write-off.
WARNING: Quarantine or recall does not equal disposal. Use the distinct write-off workflow only after approval and physical handling.
For Finance: Disposal Is Separate#
Changing a lot's status does not itself dispose of stock or post a write-off. Use the separate write-off process if goods are physically removed.
