Check customer and prices#

A customer and priced product variants are needed. Use the quote screen and the permissions exposed for your role; do not assume quote actions share sales-order permission names.

Send or respond to a quote#

  1. 1
Open Quotes and create a draft for the customer.
  2. 2
Add products, quantities, prices, currency, and tax; review the proposal.
  3. 3
Reopen the saved quote and compare its customer, expiry, currency, and line prices with the agreed offer.
  4. 4
Send it or record the supported customer response.
  5. 5
If accepted, convert it and check the new sales order before reserving stock.
  6. 6
When the customer accepts, use the supported order action and verify the resulting order before reserving stock.

A quote does not reserve inventory or post revenue. Availability can change before the customer accepts.

Review the resulting order#

A quote can be Draft, Sent, Accepted, Rejected, Expired, or Converted. It is a proposal: sending or accepting it does not reserve stock or post revenue.

WARNING: A conversion creates a separate sales record. Confirm customer, price and availability before proceeding with reservation.

If conversion is unavailable#

Check the quote status and customer response, then review product price and availability.

If the offered product is no longer available, revise the offer with the customer before creating an order.
