Sign in to the company whose change you need to investigate. Make sure you can open its audit report.

Investigate an activity record#

    Open the Audit Trail report.

    Filter by the person, action, record, or date you are investigating.
  3. 3
    Open the recorded change and compare it with the current business document.
  4. 4
    Open the affected business record and compare its current status with the event.
  5. 5
    Keep the event date, person, and record reference with the investigation.

A change log records actions; the linked business document supplies the context.

Keep the source evidence#

Keep the audit event together with the source document when reviewing a financial change.

WARNING: If an expected event is absent, verify the action actually completed and that your role can access the report. Do not infer that a missing event means no financial change occurred.
