Check the record's state#
- 1Open the record and read its current status. Note the exact action you expected to see.
- 2Check whether that action fits the record's stage. For example, receiving follows confirmation of a purchase order, and posting follows a draft document.
- 3Reopen the list in the correct organization and check whether another record at the required stage shows the action.
- 4If the action is still missing, ask an administrator to review the role assigned to you and the active plan feature for that task.
- 5After access or record status is corrected, return to the original record and confirm the action is available before entering more data.
If the action appears for another user, compare their assigned duties before copying access.
Check your access#
Request only the needed access. A visible record does not necessarily mean you can change it.
For sales orders, the invoice action is also unavailable when there is no shipped quantity left to bill. Open any existing invoice link shown on the order and refresh the page before creating another draft. If the order is still processing with no shipment, complete fulfillment before billing.
WARNING: Do not ask for full administrator access as a shortcut. Request only the role access or plan feature needed for the task.
