Have the correct record open#
Open the record that should own the file and check that you have the correct document before uploading.
Attach a file to the record#
- 1Open the customer, supplier, or transaction record that owns the file.
- 2Choose the attachment action, select the file, and wait for the upload to finish.
- 3Reopen the record to confirm the file appears; download or set it as primary when those actions are available.
- 4Reopen the parent record and confirm the file name and preview or download.
- 5If available, mark the intended attachment as primary so colleagues see the right evidence first.
Remove an incorrect file only after confirming it is not the sole evidence for a posted transaction.
Find or remove the attachment#
Only finished uploads appear in the attachment list. Download evidence before deleting a file.
WARNING: Deleting an attachment removes its storage object and database record. Download any needed evidence first, especially for finance records.
